We'll take those bills, please.

We gather all the information needed to set up your utilities with all the providers. There are some providers that you’ll need to sign up with and just put down the BearBills information we give you, so that the bills will come to us. We’ll tell you all that you need to know, depending on your service area.

You give us your payment options.

We’ll need your checking account or credit card information for payment, or for backup in case you opt to pay by check. If you opt for automatic payment, your BearBill will be paid each month, and you won’t even need to think about it. If you’re paying by check, this backup payment method will keep your BearBill covered even if you forget a payment.

Your roommates sign up (if you have any).

When you sign up, you’ll be asked if you’re expecting roommates. Your utilities won’t start until all of them have signed up. We don’t want you getting stuck with all the bills for your roommates, so we wait until everyone is on board to start the BearBills service. Be sure to get all your roommates online to BearBills.com to sign up, and the start up process will be smooth and easy.

If you live alone, there will be a refundable starting deposit, and then your utilities will start right away. There’s no way to lose the deposit if you keep your payment options healthy and funded! It’s only there to help cover bills in case something goes wrong with an account, but we’ll let you know ahead of time to keep that deposit safe.

Your utilities are turned on, and you can monitor them online.

Once all of your utilities are set up, they will start within a week’s time (unless something crazy happens, which usually doesn’t). Each month, you’ll just check your BearBill once you receive e-mail notification, see how much needs to be paid, and either pay it by check or wait for your bill to be paid automatically. That’s as simple as you can get.
